Objectives

General objective

1. To determine the descriptive epidemiology of soil transmitted helminth infections and to determine intrapersonal, interpersonal and contextual risk factors among children in the plantation sector in Ratnapura district, Sri Lanka.


Specific objectives

1. To determine the prevalence of soil transmitted helminth infections among children in the plantation sector, Ratnapura district, Sri Lanka.

2. To identify the intrapersonal, interpersonal and contextual risk factors influencing the transmission of soil-transmitted helminth infections among children in the plantation sector in Ratnapura district.
